Strawberry Chia Jam

A cleaner way to enjoy jam with real ingredients and without the excess sugar. This strawberry jam uses the natural sweetness of strawberries and just a pinch of maple syrup. 
INGREDIENTS
METHOD
  • 400g frozen strawberries 
  • 3 tablespoon maple syrup  
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice 
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
1.  In a small pot on low heat place the strawberries and allow to thaw and soften for around 5 minutes. 
2.  Once the strawberries begin to soften, add in the lemon juice and maple syrup.
3.  Allow to cook for 40-50 minutes, stirring frequently. 
4.  When the strawberries are broken down into a jam-like consistency remove from the heat and add in the chia seeds. Mix until well combined. 
5.  Place into a sterilised glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
