Homemade Roti Breads

A gluten free way to enjoy roti bread. These homemade roti breads are free from emulsifiers and preservatives to keep your gut happy and healthy.  
INGREDIENTS

TIPS & NOTES
  • 1 cup chickpea flour
  • ½ cup buckwheat flour 
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60mL water 
  • 45mL extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
  • 1 heaped tbsp natural yoghurt
1.  Combine the flour and salt in a bowl and make a well in the middle. 
2.  Pour water, oil and yoghurt into the well and mix well. Use your hands to knead the dough until combined.
3.  Cover and set aside to rest for 15 minutes. 
4.  Separate the dough into 8 even portions and roll out each portion onto a floured bench using a rolling pin. 
5.  Heat a good drizzle of EVOO in a frying pan over medium heat and cook the roti bread for 1 minute on each side. Repeat until all the roti is cooked, re oiling your pan as needed.
  • Perfect served alongside our Nourishing Dahl. 
    Vegan Option: Use unsweetened coconut yoghurt.
