Chocolate Chip Mint Smoothie

If you love choc mint then this smoothie is for you! This creamy smoothie is packed with nutrients like folate, vitamin E, potassium and fibre! 
INGREDIENTS

  • 400mL coconut milk, from the carton (or almond milk) 
  • ½ avocado (pitted and peeled) 
  • 2 sprigs of mint leaves (washed, stems removed) 
  • 10 ice cubes 
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional) 
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder (pregnancy safe)
1.  Place all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth
2.  Serve immediately. 
  • A reminder that cacao contains caffeine, it is best to keep caffeine consumption to a minimum during pregnancy so take into consideration any other caffeine you may have consumed during the day prior to this smoothie.
