Carrot Cake Smoothie

This smoothie is an ideal mid-morning or afternoon treat that will leave you feeling full and energised! Inspired by traditional carrot cake, the addition of carrots will help you meet your daily vegetable intake in the most delicious way!
INGREDIENTS

  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ carrot 
  • 2 fresh medjool dates (pitted) 
  • 250-300mL coconut milk (from the carton) 
  • 1 tbsp almond butter 
  • ½ tsp cinnamon 
  • ¼ tsp mixed spice 
  • 1-2 drops vanilla bean extract  
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional) 
1.  Place all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Toddler friendly option: Omit the protein powder. 
  • Gluten Free Option: Some protein powders may contain dairy (whey or casein), soy, gluten or eggs.
